Island Triathlon Travel |
|||
| Book your reservations to Catalina early--this is a busy time of year on the island. There is hotel lodging in Avalon and camping available at Hermit Gulch, near Avalon. You must purchase your own boat fare over to Catalina. IT IS NOT INCLUDED IN THE ENTRY FEE. Please remember.....if you are taking a boat over to Catalina for the Triathlon, you must also make a reservation to bring your bike on the boat. The boats have limited space, and they must know ahead of time how many bikes will be on the boat. The carriers do charge for bikes. If you need information on anything about travel, hotel or the island in general, check out the Catalina Island Chamber of Commerce and Visitor's Bureau: 310.510.1520. They can tell you hotels that have vacancies at the time you call. You can also check vacancies online on their web site.
