Congratulations to the finishers of the inaugural Rose Bowl Half Marathon and 5k! After several days of rain, we were happy to be greeted by clear skies on Saturday morning. Approximately 2000 runners registered for the inaugural race.

BUFFALO RUN (February 9th) - The Buffalo Run is the ultimate in trail running using the East End trails of Catalina Island. This half marathon course takes you from sea level to a 1600 foot elevation then returns to sea level. The race features spectacular views of San Clemente Island and Avalon.

CATALINA MARATHON (March 15th) -- Voted the #1 Off-Road Marathon in the world by Runner's World Magazine in 2007 and recently acknowledged by USA Today as one of the Top 10 Winter Marathons. Enjoy some of the most breathtaking scenery while running 26.2 miles over the Island of Catalina. The race traverses mostly dirt trails and roads through areas of the interior of the Island where very few have gone. The race starts in Two Harbors and runs to Avalon. It is a hilly, challenging Marathon, but worth every mile! You may even run with the buffalo!
